About Goody Cabral

Goody Cabral, baritone, started musical training in an exclusive church school choir for boys called Tiples de Sto. Domingo and Sto Doming Male Chorale in Manila, Philippines. He joined the Metropolitan Theatre Chorus under Dr. Myrna Lopez. He and friends later formed a classical ensemble called “Arpeggio”. He moved to Canada in 1994 with his wife Jenny.

In 1998, he joined the Blessed Trinity Choir under Marta Mccarty Smith where he met his soprano friends: Clea Soare Min. and Amy Pun. He then joined Toronto Cantata Chorus under Maestro Tak- Ng Lai in 2000. He worked as soloist at Leaside Presbyterian Church under James Bourne; St. James Bond United Church (where he met Elisabeth Gsoels) under Roger Hobbs; and Newtonbrook United Church under Taylor Sullivan. Goody presently sings with the
Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and Mendelssohn Singers under Noel Edison. He directs the St. Anselm Parish choir in Toronto and is cantor at Blessed Trinity Parish.
